Create compelling paintings using soft pastels. Students work from photo references exploring effective composition, a variety of strokes, blending techniques and layers to achieve a vibrant and intuitive painting.

It is located on Bryne Dr. just west of Hwy 400. Please email me with your questions and I will get back to you with some proposed dates.

I like to teach very small groups – usually 2 or 3 people at a time. I think it is important that the student accomplishes a “finished” painting in a relatively short time. Two sessions of 3 hours each will usually result in a finished piece that will be framed in a 16 x 20 frame with mats. A student can come back any number of times to a do a new piece. Instant gratification is so powerful and students are happy not having to belabour over their painting.
