Cathy Boyd
Fine Art
Dec. 5, 2009 was a big
day! I opened a gallery/studio in the village of Wyebridge.
Wyebridge is just 5 minutes south of Midland on Hwy 93.
It was home to
one of the group of seven, Franz Johnston.
It was here
that Johnston brought his family and make a living creating art.
And so it is only fitting that I celebrate my new gallery and studio,
and hope to find
the same inspiration that Johnston did in this quaint village on
the Wye River.
I am open from
Wed. thru Sunday from 11-4. So please drop in. When you
arrive you may find me painting or perhaps teaching one or two students,
but we are happy to have you watch while we work. And of course my
paintings will be displayed for you to view. Along with current
paintings, you will also see art cards, painted glassware, lamps,
t-shirts, journals, and coffee-table books.
And I am
resurrecting a little known business I had begun several years ago.
It is called,
"Cathy's Kooky Chairs".
I will be offering
hand-painted Muskoka Chairs (Adirondack) and a variety of other quirky
chairs, benches and stools that will be embellished with my own designs.
All furniture will be one-of-a-kind images, signed and each one will
have its own distinct title.
Of course, I will
be welcoming any commissions, either for paintings or furniture.
